District Conference Was Great!

Last Friday and Saturday several Emmett Rotarians joined 300 others for the annual District 5400 Conference in beautiful Sun Valley. Bob Fry, Terry and Dottie Jones, John and Linda Biggs and Rod DeArmond enjoyed a variety of great speakers who were part of a general celebration of all the wonderul things Rotary does throughout the world - and, importantly, that we Idahoans play a part in that, too! We'll have a more comprehensive report for you once we've digested what we heard - and we have to see if anyone got some great photos! The featured speaker at the Friday night dinner was Richard King, a former president of Rotary International - he was fantastic! We also had a visit from Ernest Hemingway......hmmmm. The weather was outstanding and the hotel was A-1. Next year, you should all plan to go. Then you'll REALLY understand what Rotary is all about!
