DG visits Emmett!
Terry Gilbert, our District 5400 Governor, came to our club last week for an annual visit. His visit began with a meeting with the club's Board of Directors on Wednesday evening at Moxie Java. Joined by his wife Carolyn, we had lively discussion about Rotary and our club's goals. (Kudos to Amy at Moxie Java for a wonderful meal - and the desert was to die for!)
On Thursday, before a packed house, Terry explained his vision of Rotary and his theme for the year - "Promoting Ethics-Pursuing Peace-Providing for Children".
We are one of 42 clubs in District 5400. This encompasses most of Idaho, from McCall on south, and includes Ontario, OR. The District Governor serves a term of one year. There are 12 Assistant Governors to assist the DG. Terry Jones is an AG.
