Chief says all is well, but......

We were privileged to have Police Chief Steve Nebeker with us last week. An Emmett native, he's been on the force for 19 years; Chief for just over a year. He reports that Emmett's crime statistics remain stable and good but it continues to be a challenge to keep on top of societal problems that lead to crime like drugs and gangs. The department does a lot collaborating with Idaho State Police and Gem County Police. A lot of effort goes into community involvement such as the School Resource Officer (Chuck Ewing) and the weekly column in the paper called "Cops Corner".
