PINS 4 POLIO is returning for the 3rd year on November 19, 2016.  ALL PROCEEDS from this year's event will go to Polio Plus to get "Even Closer" to ending Polio in the world.  Now is our chance to change the world; to make sure NO CHILD is disabled by polio ever again!!!  All donations are matched 2-1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  One of the goals in RI President John Germ's Persidential Citation is for clubs to donate $2650 to END POLIO NOW in honor of the Rotary Foundation's centennial.  The Rotary Club of Emmett has pledged to make this donation and more!

At this time, we have 18 Lane Sponsors at $50 each. IS YOUR NAME OR YOUR COMPANY'S NAME ON THIS LIST??? Our goal is 20 lane sponsors....don't be left out!  Please call John Buck at 369-1785 or Tim Fleming at Fleming Law Offices OR email Kathy @ klrainbow49@gmail.com to get your name on a lane!! We are publishing the list on our website, our FB page and on communication from the Chamber of Commerce.

Of course, BOWLERS are necessary to make this work! For a fee of $25 you can get your rental shoes and pay for your bowling (3 games) and make a great donation to our cause!  It's a 7-Pin, No Tap tournament - knock down 7 pins and it counts as a strike!!!   C'mon, you can do this!!  There will also be a blind draw for partners to determine the winners who will receive prizes.  So, send your team of 4 names to Kathy (klrainbow49@gmail.com) along with information on how you want to pay.  If you don't have a team of 4, sign up anyway!  We will put you on a team.  It's all for such a worthy cause and it's FUN too - you won't want to miss it!  Even if you can't form a complete team, we have room for "extras" and won't turn anyone away!  Please let Kathy know ASAP!  We need at least 40 bowlers to meet our goal  - right now we only have 30!

WE NEED SILENT AUCTION ITEMS!  If each of us donates just one item, we will be well on our way to earn that last $650 we need to reach the goal set for us by our RI President, John Germ.

You can bring them to the Rotary meetings by November 17, drop them off at Potter Chapel or call either John or Kathy to have them picked up!  You are welcome to provide a minimum bid for your item(s) if you prefer.

Even if you don't bowl, drop by and check out those silent auction tables.  Who knows?  You might just find that perfect Christmas present there!

Let's do our part to rid the world of this horrible disease.  While it seems to be "under control" new cases are cropping up in areas previously declared polio free - the immunizations MUST continue for 3 years after the area has been declared polio free or it will rear it's ugly head again.
